Activities

• to improve the educational (teaching and learning) materials in order to adapt it to Roma' culture and history, i.e. focusing on their language, culture, and history, but also on a wiser local and national policy for Romanies' education;
• to organize and support training seminaries for instructing the trainers and the professorial staff, to encourage local and regional contacts in forming the school teams, the parents and also to adapt the educational offer to meet the Roma pupils' needs;
• to initiate an effective partnership between schools, parents and key-institutions responsible for local development and to implement educational processes for members of national minorities in order to widen the range of factors involved in dialogue;
• to disseminate the high ranks and strategies thus acquired by organizing school visits, identifying the resource-schools, creating a web page, and publishing informative materials;
• to integrate the school development pattern in a network of key-institutions that are part of the educational system that will trigger wider and improved opportunities for Roma children.

As a result of a thorough development of the activities in the project, new local partnerships are expected to be initiated that will promote good opportunities for Roma minority's education. At the same time, the project is equally addressing a twofold task: to generalize initiatives proved efficient in raising Roma pupils' educational success, and to nourish the Roma culture in the Romanian society.
